My name is Ali and I am from Mauritania. Over the last decade, I have focused on my career and education. This has resulted in a Master's degree in Computer Science from a top technical university in Beijing and over five years of work experience. I have gained experience through volunteering, internships and working with various regional, national and international companies, start-ups and NGOs, including Huawei, Asecna, Lionbridge, Masterpeace, Google Developers Group and ByteDance. My work has primarily involved operations management, user growth, and operational strategy development. These experiences led me to discover a strong interest in supply chain management and empirical operations, which led me to pursue a management degree. Perhaps everything that has happened and continues to happen to me this year is linked to Tongji University, an MGM programme. It was here that I first realized what business management was all about - the interconnection of many elements, such as business negotiations, marketing and customer insight, geographical coverage and supply chains, balance sheets and much more. Most importantly, I began to understand the role I could play in these processes. It was here that I realized my own capabilities and understood the logic of the great and powerful Chinese language and culture. At the same time, I have not lost touch with my homeland and my multinational and amazingly beautiful country, and I have also made new loyal friends from different countries around the world, with whom I hope to be friends for the rest of my life.
