My name is Ali and I am from Mauritania. Over the last decade, I have focused on my career and education. This has resulted in a Master's degree in Computer Science from a top technical university in Beijing and over five years of work experience. I have gained experience through volunteering, internships and working with various regional, national and international companies, start-ups and NGOs, including Huawei, Asecna, Lionbridge, Masterpeace, Google Developers Group and ByteDance.

My work has primarily involved operations management, user growth, and operational strategy development. These experiences led me to discover a strong interest in supply chain management and empirical operations, which led me to pursue a management degree. The MGM programme at Tongji stood out to me for several reasons: its location in the heart of China's most vibrant city, its top global rankings and accreditations, the success stories of its graduates, and the diversity of topics offered.

One semester into the programme and it has been a fantastic experience. The mix of different courses and cultural events has made it exciting and rewarding. I'm looking forward to exploring more of what the programme has to offer, such as company visits, work placements, dual degree opportunities and the final dissertation project.
