Enrolling in the Master's in Global Management at Tongji University was a life-changing experience for me. One of the greatest strengths of this programme must be its incredible diversity, with students from China and around the world. Our classes are not only enriched by global case studies, but also by the unique perspectives that each student brings. Outside the classroom, cultural events gave me an unexpected glimpse into China's rich heritage and opened windows into the cultures of my classmates, making for an inspiring and enriching learning experience.

Academically, I was particularly impressed by courses such as Integration Practice and Business Negotiation. Integration Practice involved actual simulations for practice, offering hands-on simulations that gave us a close-up view of real-world business operations, which is perfect for someone like me who learns best by doing. The Business Negotiation course proved to be equally transformative, delving into the cultural dynamics of Chinese business practices and highlighting the differences in approach between regions. In such a diverse classroom, every single session became a real learning opportunity for me as a student and has equipped me with the tools and confidence to strive for a brighter future in the global business world.

The programme has equipped me with invaluable skills such as teamwork, communication, negotiation and open-mindedness. From numerous group projects to company visits and guest lectures by industry experts, I gained practical knowledge that complemented the theoretical aspects of the programme. These experiences also helped me secure an internship with a multinational company, where I now apply the principles I learned at Tongji. The job fairs and university events were also instrumental in building a network of meaningful professional connections.

What makes Tongji's MGM programme truly special is its ability to foster growth on both a personal and professional level. Living in China, a country so different from my own, has been a remarkable journey of self-discovery. At the same time, being part of one of China's top universities has provided me with a world-class education and a clearer vision of my career aspirations.
