Warwick Business School Delegation Visits Tongji SEM to Deepen Strategic Partnership

On September 8, Professor Andy LOCKETT, Dean of Warwick Business School (WBS), led a delegation to visit the School of Economics and Management at Tongji University. Dean XIE En and Deputy Dean LIANG Jian extended a warm welcome on behalf of the school.

The delegation included Professor David ELMES, Professor of Practice, WBS Global Energy Network, Course Director, WBS Masters in Management, Dr. Zhun LIU, Senior Teaching Fellow in Finance, and Ms. Danni NING, Recruitment Manager. During the visit, both sides reflected on 15 years of fruitful collaboration and explored new opportunities for partnership in the era of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.

Major milestones of the partnership since 2010 include faculty and student exchanges, executive programs, and academic forums. Tongji SEM’s international elective modules on Green Energy and China’s Digital Economy have been particularly well received, attracting over 1,000 WBS MBA participants.

Looking ahead, the two schools plan to launch new initiatives, such as Fast Path-Way To Master Degree Programs in Information Systems and Digital Innovation and Joint Master’s Program in FinTech, with a focus on integrating AI into traditional disciplines.

Founded in 1967, Warwick Business School is a globally renowned, research-driven institution and among the first UK business schools to achieve the prestigious triple crown accreditation (AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS).
