As instant delivery platforms evolve and market competition grows fiercer, customer retention has become a critical driver of sustainable business success. Addressing this challenge, Associate Professor MAO Wen Zheng from the Institute for Advanced Management Studies at Tongji University School of Economics and Management (SEM) co-authored a pioneering study titled “Faster Deliveries and Smarter Order Assignments for an On-Demand Meal Delivery Platform,” published in the Journal of Operations Management (JOM), the premier international journal in operations management.
